Mindfulness, Meditation, Self Kindness, Mindful Eating, and Emotional
Wellbeing Welcome! I hope what I offer on this website will be a help to you.
Most exciting is: -
a talk on The Power of Self-Kindness at Sadhana Yoga Center, Hudson, NY, May 25 or 26, 2013, check their
website for information.
- an article on Taming the Wanting Mind (see article page), and - my new
book:
EATING WITH FIERCE KINDNESS A Mindful and
Compassionate Guide to Losing Weight Published by New Harbinger. Eating with Fierce Kindness is
not a diet, but a way to revolutionize how you think about yourself and about food. Fierce kindness refers to a strong
determination to change thoughts, beliefs and behaviors that are not in your best interest in the long run, and doing so out
of kindness rather than criticism and blame. In this book I have combined the latest research on self-kindness, positive
psychology, and mindfulness and applied it to changing eating behavior. This book will guide you toward an understanding
of why and how you are eating so you can successfully change your eating patterns.
